Dr. Praveen Krishna is the consultant Phaco Surgeon and Paediatric Ophthalmologist as well as one of the Directors of Radhatri Nethralaya. He has received his cataract microsurgery training and is a prestigious Sir Ratan Tata Phaco fellow from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, India. Dr. Praveen has served in several of the country’s key eye institutes like Aravind Eye Hospital – Madurai and Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital and Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Hyderabad. During his tenure at the latter place, he was involved in some key projects in community ophthalmology in collaboration with the International Centre for Eye Health (ICEH) London. With a number of publications in peer reviewed ophthalmic journals, Dr. Praveen is both prominent and established in the ophthalmic fraternity.
He specialises in Minimal Incision Cataract Phaco Surgery (MICS) with his surgical skills and finesse being lauded time and again by the visiting eye surgeons, who come to observe his eye surgeries. He also dons the hat of a paediatric ophthalmologist, with his cheerful approach and extreme patience with crying children winning the heart of many a parent.
